I’ve travelled a decent amount in my lifetime. Both short and long trips. This isn’t even my first time backpacking through Asia. The last time was 9 years ago - after my study abroad semester in Hong Kong. Once again, I find myself saying farewell to my favourite city in the whole world by capping it off with a tour around Asia - this time hoping to cross off some more bucket list items and visiting countries I still haven’t been to yet.
Each time I travelled, I always told myself how great it would be to blog about my experiences so that I could one day look back and read through them - create a travel keepsake that I could cherish forever. In the end, I just never got around to doing it. I still have fond memories of some of the amazing things I was able to see and do, (being chased by a wild guard dog in China, how stunningly beautiful Jiuzhaigou truly is that it sparked my love affair with China’s national parks, watching the sunrise at my first -and last- Full Moon Party , how Angkor Wat actually blew my mind and to this day is still one of the favourite sites I’ve ever visited, and the list goes on) but this time around I want things to be different. I want to be reminded of the details of my adventures, so this blog will be the space where I can write things down as I go.
I won’t promise that I’ll be posting often, or regularly or what kind of content I’ll be creating. It maybe frequent or few and far in between, and it may end up just turning into Audrie’s digital diary, lol, but here’s to trying something new.
